“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. -St. Teresa of Calcutta”

I think it is fitting to start off this blog with acknowledging my mom and dad. They both gave me so much love and support growing up.  They are, no doubt, cheering me on as I make this huge leap into my professional life as a Master Life Coach and Professional Family Peer Advocate.

We grew up in a family where traditions were upheld and faith was lived.  My parents were the corner stones for my work ethic, my people skills, compassion and beliefs.  Those formative years were challenging!  I don’t think I was an incredibly difficult child (well, I guess my siblings might beg to differ about that 😉 ), but, like any child I had challenging moments. My mother showed me great grace under pressure.  My father showed me that every dream has a series of steps to take.  All of it helps me to formulate my life coaching mission.

Through all of it I felt loved and supported.  There were moments of challenge as I grew up and tested my boundaries.  Both of my parents tried their best.  I was loved, hugged, teased, held accountable, reminded and yelled at in turns.  Both parents shared a lively faith and view on life.  Their passing is left an absence that stays.  I think that is a part of loss.  It is with a lot of joy, though, that I am able to offer bits of what they gave me with everyone I meet.  I’m proud to be able to do that.  Mom and Dad,  I love you both and miss you!

I can’t wait to meet you when you’re ready to make those changes in your life.  You’re going to do great!  You’ve got me already rooting for you!

Take care & I’ll talk to you soon,

Julie
